All of Our Dogs are Adopted!
Buddy
Is a Silky Yorkie and we think he is about 15 years old. He was adopted from a kill shelter in California. Buddy is a love and gets along with anybody and anything. He gives anyone kisses. He doesn’t say much except to let us know when the Javelina are around.
Teddy
He is around 8 years old and his pedigree is a Schnorkie (Schnauzer/Yorkie Mix) and is whip smart but afraid of his own shadow. He came from a puppy mill in Indiana that we shut down and two of his siblings were adopted here also. He is very possessive of his mother but he is all bark and no bite.
Gracie
Our newest edition is just 4 years old and was originally adopted out of Mexico when she was just 2 month old. One of our past guests had a relative that recently passed away that had adopted her and when she asked if we could find her a home we agreed to regime her. Once we met this timid, shy love, our hearts melted and we couldn’t say let her go. We did a DNA test on her and she breaks down to 31.5% Miniature Schnauzer, 15.1% American Pit Bull Terrier, 11.6% Cocker Spaniel, 10.2% Poodle, 5.8% German Shepard, 4.7% Boxer, 3.6% Doberman Pinscher, and 17.5% Super Mutt!
In Memoriam
On December 7th of 2021 we had to make the very painful decision to put down two of our beloved fur babies due to health issues.
Mei (Bug)
Mei (Bug), a miniature Scottie / Shih Tzu mix was just shy of her 19th birthday but due to her blindness, doggie dementia, and other neurological issues daily life was becoming more of a struggle that made it hard for her to have any quality of life let alone her safety be assured from day to day. We rescued her at 6 mos. of age and she had a great life by the measure of any standard. She asked for so little but gave so much.
Gus
Gus was our mystery terrier and about 11 years old. So quite and mellow tempered he was adopted by us just less than two years ago and he fit right in with our gang of three at that time. An esophageal issue caused him to lose about ½ his weight in a couple of months and while his spirit and resolve never flagged he was in too much pain at the end that we couldn’t let it go on any longer. He was a three time adoptee but he knew where his best home was in the end.
